To access government online services for your business, you need an easy and secure way. myGovID is one that can prove who you are online, and Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM) lets you manage who can access online service on behalf of your business. With myGovID and RAM, you have streamlined, flexible and secure access to government online services; manage your business' tax and super affairs, grants and payroll to name a few.
Now let me show you how to start using these services. First, you need to make sure your details on the Australian Business Register (ABR), are up to date. This first step is important. Next, download the myGovID app to your smart device. Then use your identity documents to set up your myGovID. Now you're ready to link your ABN to your myGovID so you can use government online services. Log in to RAM with you myGovID then select 'Link your business'. You'll need to be listed as a sole trader or eligible associate of this business in the ABR. Once your business is linked, you can start using RAM to manage who can act on behalf of your business online, including their level of access. Those whom you authorise will receive an authorisation request via email with steps to follow. Of course, they will need their own myGovID; and you're all set!
